Probably down to the groups you are in and if you use 3rd party sites.

Could down to any number of reasons, such as

- Groups you're in
- Third party websites / apps you use
- Places you have shared your Steam ID
- People like what they see your profile
- ....etc

And they're likely people hoping to scam you. Especially if you play CS2/DotA/market-item games.

Bots that are trying to scam you in one of two major ways:

1. Stealing your account in order to clear out your inventory.
2. Stealing your account in order to gain another account for scamming.

It's probably #2 in your case because your inventory is private, and you have over 1,000 hours in CS2 and TF2 which is valuable for scam-botters because it makes the accounts seem "legitimate" when they contact scam targets.

i hate how as soon as i played counter strike and had like $5 worth of skins i immediately got on spammer's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

valve should really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ look into doing some of this but considering they've left that friend review bug for like 5 years now i'm not looking hopeful for big ♥♥♥♥ like that

Yep same then after a week they abuse me with random comments "loser profile" etc.. Very weird, i just block them.

I don't have anything in my inventory worth stealing.
I don't play CS or TF2 of any type..
I don't use 3rd party sites.

probably doesnt help you basically using ur profile like insta using a real photo showing off your body and have your age and everything else on their, maybe dont seek attention?

well for me years ago i got huge amount of bots adding me, then Valve brought in minimum rules before you can add people, then those profiles dropped off. I do get the odd person or two over time what adds me. So it is either one of the groups you are in, found with me some people add me as they saw my profile on forums or they posted in a thread i posted in then they try to add me.

What do you expect with your profile picture???
