Audio Stutter in Games starting yesterday
So my PC generally runs Steam games well! Yesterday, there was a Steam Client update, which I installed as normal.

When I was playing Hitman: World of Assassination last night, I noticed there were some audio stutters. The audio would chop in and out. I thought that was very odd, but I attributed it to the fact that maybe I was "alt-tabbing" to my Google Chrome and that might have caused something. After all, Hitman is a "big" game.

Today, I was playing Ace Attorney, and I noticed the same audio issue. This never happened before. The audio was glitching, and, again, I was "alt-tabbing." So I thought the issue was that. I quit the game and did not "alt-tab" at all, and still audio lag happens, though usually after 10 or so minutes of the game being open (that is to say, at the beginning of the session, there's usually no audio lag).

Next thought -- maybe it's my speaker? So I switched to my headset (using a different audio input) and stutter is still there. I switched to my monitor speakers, and stutter is still there.

I tried doing research online, and they said that disabling Hardware Acceleration on the Steam Overlay can fix this. I did that, I thought it was fixed but after several minutes in-game, the stutter came back. I even disabled the entire Steam Overlay!

I'm at a loss now -- the only thing I can attribute it to is perhaps the Steam Client Update that went live yesterday. Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot?
