I have been waiting for two days for it to update, and it just won't. I have good connectivity, fast internet connection and I'm not having any problems with any other websites, etc. Nor do I usually have an issue with Steam.

It just says, "Updating Steam" and then below it, "Extracting Package". It has extracted this package, got to the end several times and then just gone back to saying it.

There's clearly some kind of issue, but how do I fix it please? I have obviously tried the obvious steps: Turning my laptop of and on, uninstalling Steam, then reinstalling it.

Can anyone help please? I can't even play any games atm, nothing.
