Issues with refunds and support
I recently purchased 4 copies of a game for me and my 3 friends and it was a buggy mess and we dropped it within 40 mins of installing and tried to get a refund steam keeps refusing to refund one of the copies and is trying to claim I'm abusing the system even though there wasn't an option to refund all 4 at once even though they were all bought at once. Is there anything i can do? or do i just have to eat the loss and from what i guess not refund again? is there a better way to contact support besides refund purchase so I'm not just filtered by a bot again or worse punished?

You can try and do a manual ticket, explain the situation and they might be able to help you out.
Refunds are never guaranteed. Constantly requesting numerous refunds in a short period of time will be seen as abuse.

If support denies your request, then that is that.

How this works on steam.

When you GIFT on Steam, which you, and your friends want to refund it, ALL your friends MUST check the REFUND BOX, so if that one friend decides NOT to check the box that may be why it's not happening because they didn't do it.

When you friends all of them have the refund box checked, you make a manual ticket, and explain in detail. When you go do refund you want to choose "I have a question about this purchase" explain why want refund, and add that all your friends have enable refund box for the game. Support should be able to refund you.
