Any advice is really appreciated

Unfortunately this is just a game that I’ve had continuous problems with and there’s no point in me having it they reckon I played 15+ hours of it which is BS because I haven’t even got past opening screen. It’s NBA 2k25. Just want the money back so i can get something ill atleast be able to use. My system specs where shmick but always crashed righttt at the time id load for about 3 secs. Cheers for the advice anyway so man really appreciate it.

15+ hours is outside the refund policy so yes it will get auto denied. Also you most likely bought the game more than 2 weeks ago too.

If you've "played" 15+ hours, then you won't get automatic refund. You may try manual.
Help > Purchases > click on game > "i've question about ..." > fill contact form

Be polite; describe your problem; specify the reason why you want a refund.
Whatever decision you will get, will be the final one.

15+ hours and purchased in December 2024?

Even a manual ticket isn't going to solve this problem for you, unfortunately. December was 6 months ago, so you're out of any leniency period they might give

Yup. You are out of limits for this one. 6 months are too much even for a manual refund.

If the game is running, it counts. If I've said this once, I've said it a million times. You don't spend hours and hours and hours trying to get whatever game to run when it doesn't work. When you launch the game, the timer is ticking. Less than 2 hours of gameplay and within 2 weeks from the purchase date. These are the refund stipulations.


Both of those requirements must be met, not just one. You went over both of them.

14,8 hours "played" with each session taking 3 seconds is 17760 game launches. Your persistence is commendable.

So, where did they get the 15+ hours from? did you just sit there staring at the game's screen? why didn't you ask for a refund the very first time you had this "issue" ?

You won't be getting any refund back, you screwed that up yourself. And refunds take a day (Idk how long it is with credit card refunds) So, if you asked for a refund, let's say at 1pm and you get it, you'd have to wait til 1pm the next day.

1) Why would you put 15 hours into something that wouldn't go past the opening screen?

2) If you got the game in December why did you wait until now to try to refund it?

You won't be getting a refund for that kind of issue. It's not how refunds work. This isn't Wal*mart or Amazon, it's Steam.

Steam only gives a refund bare minimum because they've basically been required to by law. That's it. They wouldn't offer them at all if they could get away with it.

No more than 2 hours of playtime, within 2 weeks of purchase. Anything outside of that, any issues outside of that, do not matter and Steam definitely doesn't care.

"No point in owning a game that has problems." is gonna be denied with prejudice.

All fair comments lol, i kinda figured i wasnt getting the refund after looking into it some more things on the forums. I know for future atleast i guess. Wouldve been good to have beamng payed for thought 😎

I had one ages ago take a week.. it was on a steam sale as well. Sadly the sale was over by the time i got my refund.
