I have been scammed and steam seems to not care at all.
Hello all,
So yes, I have been scammed in a way I would never imagine. I play faceit, and was looking for a team to play with, there was 4 man lobby, they added me at discord, and then the act started. Dude was navigating me to official Vitality Team Hub, so they can farm elo/rewards there, and asked me to do the same. Trick was, that apparently a "faceit discord" sent me thing to confirm my indentity, and I was asked to sent offer to my 2nd acc or friend. So I did, and then this happened. Not only, the two-step-auth from steam did not work, but also it redirected the trade to scam account that they used.
And here I am, all tickets I write to our lovely Steam support are insta closed or marked as solved, noone is replying, and ofc my whole inventory is gone. Faceit is on the line with me, but they also do not see to be helpful in the process.
Have you ever got scammed stuff back? If so, how? Do you know how to contact steam in any other way?
Please help me, I just wanted to play cs with someone XD

Hijacked. Malware or phishing.

Follow steps 1-6 to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Regarding items:

Remove profile link. Only you as a victim can report him, what you're doing now is called naming&shaming and may end with ban for you.

As Steam CANNOT see WHO is at the keyboard they assume it is the account owner.

The account owner, aka the user who created the account, is supposed to be the ONLY person with access to the account.

Only the account owner will know the account login username, the account password (not even Steam support can see your password), and the Steam guard/mobile authenticator code.

If anyone else knows those, then YOU gave away your login info.

The policy clearly states everything involved.
and next time dont use your steam login on any third party sites simple and you dont gonna lose your stuff

Steam has nothing to do with Faceit. You are SoL, bud. Account security is 100% the user's responsibility. Random accounts simply do not get randomly "hacked." Simple as.

The most effective means of protecting your inventory is to not give away your account credentials by being greedy and gullible.

Not a single third party site can be trusted no matter how many random nobody YouTubers tell you otherwise. Not a single site, nor Steam Group, can be trusted no matter how many people use it (or claim to use it) and tell you it is safe, or they never had a problem.

Never vote for someone's team.

Never try to get that $50 gift.

Never listen to anyone on Discord saying they accidently reported you ...
...or that they are an admin ... or that they want to be friends and/or trade.

Trust no one.

what about Don't Starve Together? They constantly use your steam account for their own 3rd party website if you want to buy or sell your items and skins. As well as spending points and spools.

You gave the keys to you house away and you're blaming some One else for it???

Oh...

Of course Steam don't care, they're not responsible for you failing to keep your account secure.

Your tickets are being closed because your account is still compromised. Alarm bells should have been ringing constantly and they baited you every step of the way to facilitate this scam and you fell for it. Do ALL the steps provided in the first response and don't follow random instructions from other users especially where you have to sign in anywhere or send trade offers.

There is difference when house is meant to be protected by double lock of some steam protection ♥♥♥♥, and it never happens. I never gave away keys as you say, it was breached to do so.

Your very own words say otherwise.

You gave away your keys to the fake FaceIt link scammers use to facilitate this scam before they baited you into generating the trade offer. I can’t believe you still haven’t realised what has happened.

oh... so you gave BOTH keys away then... even better.... :-)

When are you going to realize that you fell for a PHISHING website that is DESIGNED to STEAL peoples logins???

It doesn't matter how many locks you use when you give away the key to each and every one of them.

And you plainly admit to giving away the keys in your original post.

Your title is misleading. The house analogy is correct for this case.
Sorry for your loss tho.
