Crossplay is something that should exist.

I'm a person who plays games and I use multiple platforms/launchers/devices. They all have their advantages for me.

I have 2 consoles, additionaly to my 2 PCs (gaming battlestation and a Steam Deck).

3 consoles, if you count the Playdate.

Crossplay isn't anything bad. Neither are consoles. Let people have fun.
And because I know that this is triggering some of the "PC gaming masterrace" people:
The mobile gaming market is bigger than PC and console combined.

Why would you ever limit yourself to one system, if you truly love games and have the money to spend? Stop being elitist and embrace a wider gaming world.

This just sounds like bait because of the Ready or Not changes they made to get the console versions.

Last console I personally owned was PS1. I knew already right there that I would not agree with the direction they were taking. I've never looked back.

Only honorable mention is going to the Wii. But the only reason why I bought one (several years after it got out) was because my significant other had a f... load of games for the Game Cube and the early version of the Wii allowed running those games just as well. That was a nice bonus that was enough to allow me to look the other way, for once.

A weaker version of PC with terrible controls that has helped weaken PCs over time.. Terrible ports, terrible UI, missing features like FOV and other settings..

They are kinda like a plague on gaming and PCs.

I'm much more convenient with on PC so I'll be more likely to buy PC versions.
On console I lose all of my comforts, socials, and sometimes Privacy if it's out in the living room.

Im not playing on console cause I just dont like to play with controller, and because i dont had infinite money to pay for pc (hardware, software, games...) + console (older, newgen, accessories, games...)
And for community, of course.

Same i'd really consider Consoles if they worked with Keyboard and Mouse on all their games.. Controllers are really uncoordinated to use.

You know..... if you would "ban" console games from steam it would most likely loose 60% of games which are sold here....

I think console should stick with single player and race games and PC should be the alpha platform. The console is pulling the PC down from its true potential and with crossplay that is the stake in the PC gaming. Other things pulled the PC gaming down, crossplay is just the final blow.

So if it 60% console and 40% PC it’s just going to get worse too me. PC games are no longer worth full price and even 3 bucks is too much if you don’t play it. Cough BF, COD use to be a good fps, but now filled with aim bots. New players might be happy, not knowing what a good PC game looks like, since the history is being replaced.

Cool stuff but still, PC is king.
