Big Picture is driving me insane!
I’m currently playing Spiderman 2. I launch the game but only receive a black screen. I reach for my wireless keyboard/mouse combo and alt-tab into Spiderman 2 which I find is running silently behind the black screen.

It’s a constant problem for me with Big Picture. I’ve lost count of the number of games that boot behind the Big Picture UI and have to be alt-tabbed into.

Why does this keep happening, and is there anything I can do on my end to prevent it?

Why do you use Big Picture, let's start with that. Is it necessary for you to use?

Steam taking focus is not exactly something new, so I get that it's annoying.
Turn. Off. Big. Picture.
Once in a blue moon I hit big picture mode instead of minimise (why are they next to each other). And then my day is ruined..not really, but I have to poke at things until I find the way to close it.

Truly awful.
I don't find it offensive personally and if I'm gaming from a couch with a controller it's much better and easier to use. Obviously if you're in front of a monitor mere inches away with a keyboard and mouse there isn't really any need for it.

I play with a controller sitting on my sofa, with my PC hooked up to my OLED television. Big Picture is essential.
