I just avoid buying new games these days.. It has to be something serious i love to pay full wack on a game now. Which is rare these days.
I also stopped pre ordering.
The better discounts often are with smaller publisher or themed sales.
That said, are people really surprised that publishers recognise the purchasing behaviour of their customers and adjust their pricing strategies accordingly?
but gta 6 isnt out, how you purchase that ?
Indies sure but you know exactly what most here are saying, by the way we need to do all that as well before buying their $200 games..
I find it quite amazing that inflation and rising costs are accepted as normal economics except for the cost of games. It's amazing how one thinks that the process of making a game is magically immune from the natural progression of economics. Dare I say I rather see that as a special kind of entitlement that only seems to pervade the gaming community.
Just boycott large publishers, they don't produce anything good anymore anyway.
Support indie devs (devs who publish themselves).
