Is American Express the Only non-Collective Shout Payment Option?
Some people have been saying "PaySafe Card", but they are on list Collective Shout roster.
As far as I can tell, American Express (Amex) is not, and not owned by a larger company.

I think Collective Shouts signers can be seen at the top of this page: www.collectiveshout.org/open-letter-to-payment-processors .

no its also discover card. But good luck with that if you are non-american or if your country does not support discover card (like finland.)
AMEX Bluebird has been pulling their services across many online retailers like Steam in many countries a while back.

The problem is that most websites only let choose between VISA or MasterCard.

UPDATE: DLsite has announced that payment via American Express will also be temporarily suspended on the platform. The only credit card payment option available at the moment is the Japan-based JCB.

Mr Michael J. Shepherd Director of Discover is listed as a signer on the page I linked. Discover does not seem to be an option if you want to support free speech, unfortunately.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but those aren't signers, those are who the open letter is addressing

You're right, it does real like that. I did not interpret this page that way until you stated such but now I look at and it feels obvious.

At this point I'm unsure if Valve has removed the games because of Collective Shout directly or if (more likely) several of the processors gave Valve an ultimatum. If the latter is the case I really want to know specifically which ones.

I don't know. The only clue I know of is that PayPal stopped working just a few days before Valve started banning games and changed their Onboarding clause

Are people really buying this collective shout business? Trick question, of course they do. Its culture war ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ after all.

This is the exact sort of thing I would come up with if I was doing PR for Mastercard and didn't want a gamer losing their mind and shooting 'a high net worth individual'. i.e., a lightning rod to steer negative opinion away from Steam and the payment processors (who have been doing this sort of deplatforming things for religious/moral reasons for decades without any need for 'lobby groups' before now - just ask LGBT platforms and weed stores.

Don't have to "buy it" when they openly brag about it.

They should have removed PayPal from the payment system to teach them a lesson.
Steam is making hundreds of millions and PayPal is eating a big chunk out of it

Keep in mind that PayPal not working on Steam is only affecting some regions. This could be that only those divisions of PayPal contacted Valve or it could simply be a coincidence. Unless Valve or those divisions of PayPal speak out publicly, we can only guess.

weed is at the federal level still a schedule 1 drug, the same as cocaine, unless something changed, states however stopped listening to the feds about this though and legalize it in state.

if I had it my way, payment processors would be required to facilitate the transaction of money for any legal business, weed stores would likely not be supported.
