Is Steam Moderation the worst we have seen on the Internet?
I'm not a "social media" person. And so i cannot say i have vast knowledge of how other sites may moderate matters.

But i have never seen a bunch of incompetents as bad as this, ever. Reddit, Gaming Sites, Politics or otherwise sites i do participate.

How on earth does a moderation team "lose" a ticket more than a month old?

How on earth can a response to the matter at hand after a month only be "We are sorry this matter has transpired, but have nothing at all to say about the matter, sincerely signed, Fake Name".

Are there any management personnel running things here?

And where are these incompetents from? Do they speak the english language? Is Steam actually paying money, to this otherwise non entity that seem to be only there for show?

Now i will congratulate Steam, Valve and Mr Newell (and just have on another post).

But what's fair is fair, and these Incompetents need to be summarily fired, forthwith.

I don't want to see people lose jobs. But this incompetency has to be hurting business and playing around with our money.

Make CHANGES, Mr Newell :steamfacepalm:

Are you basing this on 60+ bans or simply the fact that the lesson has not being learned to reach that target.

Even odder is you decided to include a racist comment "Do they speak the english language?" when every message you have received is in English unless you want disprove that by posting examples of messages you have received in Spanish etc from Moderation.

You should be aware moderation has nothing to do with tickets, or not liking the answer you got. It appears as if you've confused support and moderation which are two completely different groups of people.

It depends, Steam Support has always been extremely fast and useful when dealing with things like credit card issues or account hacks in my personal experience while anything related to the community forums or their filters in comments and such has been abysmal, which I guess means that they simply are putting their whole weight behind managing the really important issues and leaving the rest to automated systems
Moderation and support are two different groups, btw.

Maybe. I think you may be right. Something has to be going on over there, being usually its no more than 48 hours i get responses. Now they're even losing tickets.
Do we need another moderation topic?

No.
Don't you mean support? The paid mods don't answer tickets, that said-

Support answers/responds to my tickets in a fairly timely manner. Compare that to a 24/7 tech support service my hotel has for our systems. I was on hold for 4 hours straight, and then immediately hung up on. The issue we had, then had to be fixed the next day since at that point it was 3am and if I did get a hold of anyone the guest would've been asleep so going into their room was a no go.

So to me, no. Steam support is not the worst, I have dealt with far worse than the recent example of mine.
The fact I need to have over 1000 accounts is proof enough that everyone working at the Steam moderation is completely controlled by SBI, I mean FBI. Like we saw in the Twitter files.

In a word, yes. It's very necessary, particularly given current events.

How in the world does a site that sells adult content, have a relatively non existent customer support, and moderation team, be it here of the hubs who may not even be VETTED for such matters?

The more we peel this onion, the more it smells.

That may be an interesting point, in that very same "names" that lock threads, and moderate us, are the same people responding to these tickets.

What do they have 10 people working this whole site?

And look i understand we are not paying for these services, so to speak.

But we would think given current or past events, they would almost "need' to invest much more in their customer services and moderation, under the circumstances.

Not really.
No. In fact, it's rather lenient. Even if you are breaking the rules, they start with warnings. And you can no longer be permanently banned either. Maybe some game hubs have terrible moderation but Steam forums definitely don't. Don't break the rules and you won't get banned.

Oh I thought I imagined this. because this thread is nearly exactly the same as one of the old ones ranger made before.

Steam moderators are not paid by steam. Valve Employees are, and they have the nice Valve badge
