Why not elect politicians that don’t waste money?

That is awesome. Is this new, or something that's always been an option?

I always thought it was weird that the only way to give the government money was to commit crimes or smoke.
I saw a news article months ago declaring that politicians had finally noticed that there are a 'politically significant' amount of gamers. So this is the result, censorship and demands for money?

Not sure there, but this looks very voluntary. Like, here's a hole in the ground....if you want to dump your money in it, we won't stop you...

Most of the debt is held by US citizens and businesses indirectly through bonds held by financial institutions. Interest payments are one of the primary expenditures of the federal government.

The problem here is that if you donate money, it's just going to go into a revenue pool and get spent on other things or be used to decrease future tax obligations (which historically benefits the wealthy the most). In order to draw down the debt, the government has to adopt a policy of decreasing expenditures, instead of only collecting more revenue. And that is something that the government simply doesn't know how to do. They're spending our grandchildren's dollars at this point, which is ironic, because very few of us will even have those.

Oh they certainly could, they just straight refuse to
How is this different from burning a pile of cash? Do you really trust incompetent and corrupt politicians to use the money efficiently?
If I ever win the lottery...doesn't sound like the worst thing I could spend money on.

OP, that is called paying taxes and demanding that those who you vote for be responsible with your tax money.
