What does this have to do with Steam?
I pay my taxes.
I always thought it was weird that the only way to give the government money was to commit crimes or smoke.
The problem here is that if you donate money, it's just going to go into a revenue pool and get spent on other things or be used to decrease future tax obligations (which historically benefits the wealthy the most). In order to draw down the debt, the government has to adopt a policy of decreasing expenditures, instead of only collecting more revenue. And that is something that the government simply doesn't know how to do. They're spending our grandchildren's dollars at this point, which is ironic, because very few of us will even have those.
Reminds me of this.
