WHAT THE BLOODY HECK IS THIS

Why is giving people rewards on forums and profiles have a 2/3 take away.
What kind of bullcrap is this system it rips everyone on both sides off imo.

its 300 and you get 100
or 600 and they get 200

seems to be a 1/3 of the points the person your giving to gets.
Its virtual, why is it taxed so dam high, how this fair or allowed to get away with.

It has no value, it just something for fun and to spend on profile customization. The "Tax" is to prevent it being worth anything as well.

Do you mean the rewards that you give by using your Steam points, not real money? Also is this something new?

Op is just farming for points, looking at their awards history they have never given out an award.

yea i think it has that 'diminishing' returns to prevent abuse. idk. they had some kind of rationale for it, im not smart so i can't follow it 💯👍

But there is no rate on points. If a reward is 300 points, that is what you use/pay.

You are not giving me points, You are just giving me a reward that also includes a small amount of points.

It's not a payment system. You're giving someone an award, not a fictional bank loan.

The points you pay are for the emote at the top.. The points the person gets is just a bonus.

Points have no value outside of buying cosmetic things I have no interest in, in my honest opinion rewards shouldn't grant points in the first place.

Nah, they shouldn't have monetary value if they're so easily farmed. Changing it so the only way to get points is via purchase and either zeroing out balances or making those points separate from current, then it might be more a viable thing but until then...too easy to abuse.
