The updated store - not really useful
Possibly just my natural resistance to change when things are working, but I can't see why those of us that JUST play on PC have to have the options of "Ways to play" and hardware in our face" ?

I don't know - seems more like an optimisation for them to sell more decks than make our life easier.

Also - the spell check in the Seam forums no longer working for me - as I have just discovered with this post.

A store formatting it's layout to sell more products. Madness. Who would have thought?

I agree it looks terrible and it still cannot even fit to a screen properly in 2025, we still cannot change its colors.. Its like they are still in 1998..

Companies will company. They care about money more than people.

If they are making a Steam Deck 2, how much will that cost? if the more expensive version of the Steam Deck they have now is $600+, I can only imagine that Steam Deck 2 costing around 1k something.

Why buy these old Steam Decks if a new one is coming? idk, they all super expensive so, don't care for it. Just crazy prices.

The spellcheck thing "sometimes" work but yeah, most of the time it doesn't on here (I've been dealing with that for a couple days now) I just thought it was on my end lol

Eh, it looks aight, could be better, especially without all those shortcuts and drop down menus having mostly the same stuff.

Hmm, how does it look on a Steam Deck? cause I feel like a lot of these Steam Updates are catered to that.

It's Steams colors. Don't pay too much attention to that and you'll be aight.

The colors are not just a Steam thing.

Didn't ask and if you have other apps that use the same color scheme, post it, Valve pet.
Not understanding why the blue is prominent in nearly everything is quite baffling. Especially when it comes to chromium.

For some reason they stopped using Green (which looked far better) early on and its been so many shades of Blue since, till this grey blue they use now..

They can add multiple colors to our profiles but having more than one color in steam is too much work?

I bought a lot more products when i could find said products, now wading through the slop for 10mins i get bored and do something else.. I'm not sure the new Steam is working as well as it used too.

You aren't actually looking to buy anything. That's why you're not finding anything. You're going in with a bias as well, so that's skewing your results.

And your reaction to the changes is by no means a surprise. With every change there's always going to be someone that doesn't like them. Most aren't going to care.

But I get it. When the UI of the apps on my phone suddenly change, I don't like it either. But I can either spend the energy getting used to the new changes, because I can't revert them, or waste that energy complaining about them to whoever will entertain me.

If you're seeing the changes now on the Store, that means you're using the Beta. Switch back to the main version of the client to avoid them for now. It'll give you some relief from them until Valve decides to push them to everyone.

I know what i'm looking for i don't need Steam to ask me if i want slop 24/7.. I'm seeing a lot of someones not liking this update. And no i'm not on the Beta i can just see the screenshots.

Not all updates are bad but these GUI updates aren't for us they are for Developers and Publishers, Steam wants to sell everything so it shows you everything even if you don't want or need it.

UI teams need to justify their existence, so even if the store was perfect, they would change it anyway.

this is very true.... we could have a lot of buy once only items
in our lives.... but its not going to be profitable..
