Strange Box on Top Left of Screen
Soince the summer sale I have started to see a strange box appear over the top left of my screen. I can't close it so the "steam" "view" and "friends" menue are all blocked as well as the store button. Only by shutting down steam and rebooting I can cleaer this window. It appears to be a truncated version of a screenshot of a game on my wishlist. I mean I'm not sure what it is, but the images look like they could be parts of a still image of a trailer, but just too small to fit in the box. Any idea how to prevent it from reapaering?

That box you are referring to could be the tooltip box that shows whenever you hover your cursor over a current URL while browsing, who the domain owner of the page is (usually it just says "Valve Corp US" or something similar while you are in the discussion forums for example). Think about this as whenever you are hovering over the lock icon on other browsers.

For some reason they still haven't fixed that when this tooltip is showing, and the user switches pages in the Steam client to one that doesn't have an address URL bar anymore, like the library, the box gets stuck in the corner of the client, being a nuisance and getting in the way.

Are you on the beta branch of the client?
