Why do you need to use the word slave?
Who's whipping who in your description in the second paragraph? It's more like lemmings than slaves.
Slaves don't have a voice or rights, unlike the people you mentioned.
Yup.
There are plenty of remakes/remasters that are good, even when the devs have a bad track record.
It's a common infestation on game forums like this one.
(gamer since the late 70's, fan of older games. . . and enjoy modern games, too. And wouldn't mind a remaster of several games from the 00's.)
I was referring to people who play the same games as me, older ones in particular mainly from the early to mid 2000s who want remakes from publishers like EA despite terrible track records.
I have nothing against modern games if they're not micro-transaction pits or bare min developed slush, nor do I have anything against remakes and remasters if they're faithful to the originals, build upon the originals and aren't made to scam money out of the preexisting fanbase.
That being said though, they recommending these things are not taking anything away from us. We still have our games.
I'm looking to see how this new "Metal Gear" remake may go.
Made me laugh.
That word, "gamer", don't seem to have the same definition than it used to. That's probably a big part of your problems right there, OP.
