Keep up the pressure on Visa and MasterCard
Just saw this video, Visa is responding to e-mails with a form letter trying to deny responsibility.

While asmondgold was going over the issue today apparently the companies are getting sick of receiving calls about the issue, so it is time to double down and call and write if you haven't already.

I can't call because I don't live in the US, but I'm posting in support of the action.

(!!)Most importantly(!!), those in the USA should consider contacting their Congressmen (phone or email) and tell them you want to support these bills:
https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/senate-bill/401
https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/987
I would urge them to support it, and even urge them to strengthen the wording of it to put more restrictions on credit card companies, not just banks. ( How to find your congressman[www.congress.gov] )

Then, I think those in the USA should contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and file a complaint. Doing this next is good, as its the most consumer focused:

Phone: 1-855-411-2372
Mail: Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, 1700 G Street NW, Washington, DC 20552

I think Steam, by PURPOSELY staying quiet, wanted to weaponize all the users... And I think they kinda achieved that goal.

Gaben is sitting somewhere on a beach sipping his whiskey smiling.
And I'm OK with that.

Yes, I too think Gabe knew exactly what he was doing. He can't fight Visa and MC directly, and asking the playerbase flatout to help is likely to backfire.... however do what steam did, stay quiet and silently blame Visa and MC produced a grassroots movement.

This is exactly what the strategy was. I'm surprised there aren't more people who understand this, and just post about blaming Valve and planning to boycott Steam instead.
lmao, these companies are more likely to blacklist complainers than change their minds.

They won't be able to do that if the fair access to banking act passes. So people need to contact their Congressmen and get them to support it

No that doesn't stop them from blacklisting people.
The issue is they have no legal rights to block anything unless its illegal which it wasn't in many countries.. They are not governments, they do not just police the public.. They are Banks and merchants with no say over what populations do.

I suggest people buy steam cards with real cash to bypass these parasites.
