2) From your library? They never do that unless you've done some shady stuff like purchasing an activation code or something..?
From the new publisher guidelines around adult content that have been in the news recently caused by pressure from payment processors. I'm hoping to see the official documentation that answers my questions.
Its answered at the bottom of this page: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/retire_app
Retired games will remain in players' Steam libraries. Those players will continue to be able to download, install, and launch the game. The Steam Community remains visible and accessible for players to post and share in. The store page for the game remains accessible, but is removed from listings in the store.
I have several games that have been delisted, but i can still redownload them at anytime and play them.
Also the games delisted were games involving rape (illegal in civilized countries), Incest (again, illegal in civilized countries), and games involving underage characters taking part in sexual activities (child porn basically, and again illegal in civilized countries),
Games with adult characters and did not have a focus on rape or incest are just fine and have been left alone.
Steam is not Itch. Valve generally won't remove games from your library simply because they are no longer sold, so you have nothing to worry about. But in the very rare cases* it's happened, you won't be refunded.
* Which were online only mutliplayer games removed when the publishers shutdown the servers.
Out of all my games, that the only one i lost, probably because it was the only delisted game in my library.
It just went poof, with not even a hint was even bought. Weird.
But, that's when you would likely lose it.
Seems more likely that steam will entirely remove the offending content. Or you'll just get a mandatory patch that "improves" the games by removing the offending content, event if it takes large holes out of the game.
Anyway, the new guidelines in question only apply going forward. They have no effect on current content, since the page they are posted to is entirely addressing new content devs are considering submitting to steam.
Nowhere to be found. I tried everything. It's the weirdest thing too.
Not missing anything else, but then again that was the only delisted game. It was only a few dollars, and better on PS2 anyway, so no big deal.
I suppose if i want i can just turn on the old clunker and move it to a usb, like i did with one of my mods.
Those games were fiction. It doesn't matter if the actual act is illegal. That alone does not make their depiction in fiction illegal. The games removed were not breaking any laws due to their content. And if featuring fictional depictions of unlawful acts were against the law, then we'd lose far more games on Steam, including the massive swathe of gore porn, such as Sniper Elite and Mortal Kombat. As well as lesser graphically violent games such as Tomb Raider...
No one else can buy them. That's all the payment processors care about.
If you're on the correct account and were not family sharing it from someone else, it will be in your library still if the key wasn't revoked. The game is still in my library, FYI. Now if you have the receipt, then ask Steam Support about it.
Cause they ally targeted GTA, DOH and some more games.,..
Why deflect to what is actually going to happen is that the stage is set.
They right now think they have a chance, and that chance is actually quite big now all because of one single australian group that allready had strict law system over there that we dotn have in many western countrys actually...
According to PCGamingWiki, there were several distributions of that game, not just Steam.
