Why groups like Collective Shout are dangerous
I have never owned any "adult" game or any game that even comes close to a "sexual" game. However i see the inherent danger knocking at the door. Groups like this will target the fringe games and those who enjoy them but once they gain traction they will target the larger titles.

How you say? Well lets say they want to attack games like Battlefield or COD. They will try to convince others its "too violent" or "promotes violence". Once they get their foot in the door they can dream up any reason to launch an offensive of titles they dont like.

People like this are dangerous because they force their own beliefs on others and dont want to compromise or accept any beliefs that go against their own. They must be shut down and not allowed to dictate what you buy or what you enjoy. Dont let them in.

You don't need to speak as if this is a hypothetical. Them being able to do this is a result of steam users' backing them to get No Mercy removed just a few months ago. 70,000 people signed their petition in one day. Everyone keeps conveniently leaving that out of the narrative being pushed.
Crazy people will do crazy things, the issue is now governments and payment processor listen to them, in the older days these people would have been laughed at and everyone moved on.. Its now no longer the case and the world is starting to spiral out of control..

Listen, just because they are going after things they find distasteful doesn't mean they will use this momentum to further push for censoring things they don't like. Giving them an inch is acceptable since they are known not to take the mile, right? ;^D

Collective shout already got GTA removed from several Australian retail stores years ago under the guise of “promotes violence against women” so What you are saying has already been happening for a long time. Unfortunately the Australian government constantly side with the activists and they run rampant in this country, the only place that seems to be pushing back hard against it is America but even that will most likely stop if they have another change of government.
Eventually it will get to real sports.
Imagine cancelling any professional games because it has a ball and someone 'could' think they 'may' mean a testicle.
It sucks that the current wording eliminates a 'reasonable person' and replaces it with a psychotic one.

They are a terrorist group, simply put.
the uk had the think of the cillins that feminist aborted bill they passed recently. it wasnt even 24 hours and it was used for politcal censorship in the failed state where they arrest you for reporting crimes and posting memes.

ya but if you say that then you have to admit feminists are terrorists at this point. the group wouldnt exist without it being a core ideology of theirs.
Feminism can accommodate anti-porn (example Andrea Dworkin)

I’m not so sure it can accommodate anti-abortion.
"Is the duopoly that has been abusing their monopoly power to assert control over how you can spend your own money for decades at fault here? No, its the feminists who are wrong."

The problem is that culture warriors are very much in favour of censorship, they just want to be able to do the censoring themselves so they have no interest in taking down the people actually doing it.

I dont mind what they removed so far since those kind of games dont belong on steam anyway in my opinion. But it was bound to happen eventually after last fiasco.

But ye they need to stop. But let's see what they go for next.

They will come for anything they deem as a no-no. And that is anything that isn't a child game. Which is why we have to fight back.
Collective Shout has no power, the only thing they did is simply report the specific kind of content to visa/mc because they knew visa/MC are wanting to reduce their liability risk. There is no slippery slope to worry about here because Visa/MC are only targeting content that has high risk of being illegal. Anything outside of what they are targeting has no risk of being illegal.

Rape/incest games can potentially be obscene content, which is illegal even in the USA...

Anyone make visa/MasterCard aware of such content, it makes sense why VISA/MC would choose to get that content removed because of the risk they hold if that content is found to be illegal.

VISA/MC could be held liable for it if it turns out it's illegal content.

Apparently they also wanted to ban Detroit; become human.

People like that seem to be set on banning any kind of game with a minimal amount of mature topics.
