Shouldn't reviews on Steam be protected by copyright?

I'm just wondering because I've seen so many high level Steam accounts literally copying and pasting reviews written by smaller accounts. I tried calling them out but the review posters can just delete your comments. Reporting also doesn't do anything.

In some form, yes, a review is protected by copyright the moment it is published. However, there are many other nuances that may affect the amount of that protection, not the least of which is being able to determine if one author is indeed the original author and simply didn't themselves copy from another, older source.
Yes
But who in there right mind bother to actually sue for copyright of a review?
I dont think tge profit of doing it will outweight the cost of the cort

Indeed, that factor as well. I figure people will just assume that if they complain enough, companies like Mommy and Daddy Valve will put out the time, effort, and money to do that sort of thing for them. That seems to be the trend in society today - especially the gaming community.
