Is there a way to permanently remove a game from your Steam Library?
Or is the most you can do uninstall and hide it?

There was this one game, I'm not gonna name names, that was really hyped up before release, but ended up being a huge let down and full of bugs - it was still a decent game though and I got a good 100 hours of enjoyment out of it, so I decided to take a break from it for 2 years and come back to see if it had improved.

However, not only has the game NOT improved, but the fanbase has become so incredibly toxic that I've given up all hope of the game ever improving..

Is there a way for me to like, nuke the game from account completely so I'll never have to see it or the toxic community (hell ESPECIALLY the toxic community) ever again?

Go to Steam Support, search for the game in the search box, click on it. Then select "I want to permanently remove this game from my account". Then select "Ok, remove the listed games from my account permanently" and follow the rest of the steps.

You can delete it but it's more like an advanced hide.

Thanks man ;D
The toughest part of the removal process was figuring out that "Steam Support" was under the "Help" tab lol.

My god, did you really just stalk me all the way here JUST to post this?

See how toxic these guys are???

EDIT: you know what? I'm reporting this for harassment - there's no reason why someone should chase another user between forums just to try to start a fight.

That forum is definitely infested with malingerers. Almost two years since launch now, and they've got nothing better to do. Then to sit there trolling that forum. Forget toxic they've gone septic now. I wouldn't delete the game itself, but I'd avoid that forum altogether.

While the game wasn't the second coming. It is definitely an above average title, and the energy invested in the achievements. Is well worth proudly displaying on your profile. Don't let folks with obvious compulsions. Ruin what the game actually meant to you.

Anyway yeah that forum is a real psych ward.
