How can I talk to real steam personnel? It's about a game without update.
Ho Everyone. Retrowave world has no update or news for an entire year now, how can I talk to somebody? when I use support and ask for a real person to anwser, I still receve an automatic response. I made a topic about it:

Steam have nothing to do with what happens to the games sold on their store, so long as those games do not start breaking the law or breaching Steam ToS and partnership program, there is nothing they can do.

Contact the devs, if you can.

Yeah that happens from time to time , game development be like that. You can go 1-3 years without an update sometimes.

Steam isn't going to force a dev to produce updates.

When buying early access, you're buying the game as-is.

"Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. "

Retrowave World is an Early Access game with a very clear description on the store page.

Get instant access and start playing; get involved with this game as it DEVELOPS.

NOTE: This Early Access game is NOT COMPLETE AND MAY OR MAY NOT CHANGE FURTHER.

If you are NOT excited to play this game in its CURRENT STATE , then you should WAIT to see if the game PROGRESSES FURTHER in development.

Again, even if the dev disapeared and didn't provide any news there is nothing steam can do about it. You got the game you paid for, and like the warning says if you weren't happy with it in its current state you shouldn't have bought it.

Not all EA games will finish and some developers will go out of business. Its a risk you take when you buy EA.

Steam doesn't reach out to individual devs to ask for updates.

The July 29th update includes content.
Here are the changes that should delight night runners
-> The new Dystopia map is here!

-> The new Aftermath map is here!

-> The new Space Trip map is here!
New maps = new content.
As others have noted though, buying EAG doesn't mean updates lacked as often as desired mean anyone needs to contact Valve. If you want more, wait for more before purchasing next time.
OK, but can't force to provide any news? And what if we wanted to support and PROJECTS? Because if people don't buy EAG for supporting devs, they would have less monney to dev the project... It's a kind of paradoxe.

Steam isn't going to force devs to give updates, news or otherwise.

Wrong game, while OP does play retrowave 2 - july 20th 2025 being the last update - retrowave worlds last was Oct 2024.

However, OP, no - Valve is not going to force them to make a news posting or more content. It's also an EAG; don't buy things until they are as complete as personally desired.

Sounds like you're starting to understand the concept of "vote with your wallet". If you are unhappy with the support that a dev is giving to one of their Early Access games, and they are clearly working on other projects, maybe you write a review stating that and don't buy into those other projects. And when that dev wonders why their projects are becoming less and less popular, maybe they'll read the reviews that says why their customers are unhappy.
