I'm even more disappointed we as a community haven't stepped up in some way and said talk to us. tell us what you're doing.
and you got the game in exchange of money, thats the entire transaction.
Edit: Oh. You want personal attention.
They just don't wear the label
That's why i only spend money on a handful of games here, and why i think people have to be nuts to have PC their main gaming platform.
One day, poof. No more games, no more Steam, no more Mr Newell.
Too much of a gamble with ones money.
Most of my direct communication with Valve employees has been telling someone who I have a way of contacting outside of the normal means (AKA Steam Support, so stuff like social media or being friends on Steam) that something is broken right now and having them forward it to whoever needs to know internally.
As a game developer, the way you talk to Valve is via Steam Support (there's a special option for contacting them as a game developer that sends your ticket to the business team rather than the regular account support team). Valve doesn't tend to say anything publicly unless they can give a definitive answer (like if someone asks a question on the developer forum about something that they can definitely already do but don't know how) or when they're publicly announcing something (AKA news posts).
I meant in person events. Some employees go to a bunch of dev events/expos/cons.
Oh yeah, they definitely do that. As well as big group video calls three times a year right before Next Fest. I just don't get out of the house much.
I see it on my Twitter feed all the time, yeah.
