just checking if there is any option to start steam minimized?

or start by clicking the game shortcut > steam launch, and then minimized automatically?

currently clicking the game icon or the steam icon will bring the client up and stays there.

apparently the shortcut target -silent doesn't work anymore and run minimized is not respected by the client.
