hello!

[21:39]
sNo-:
did u get hacked earlier?

[21:39]
Who:
Why do you ask?
:slimescared:

[21:41]
sNo-:
cause i got hacked earlier because of a fake website but i already recovered my account but my items are gone and it says it was traded to your account also you sure that you didnt login on suspicious websites?

[21:41]
Who:
Uh???
Hold on, how do i check my trade history?
Just checked it, I don't have any trade requests, or history with your account
all i have is trades from TF2
what exactly did you lose?

[21:45]
sNo-:
it looks like we're not the only ones who got hit by this, I also saw your profile getting discussed in an anti-scam private group which is linked on the 1st profile. It might cause some confusion because maybe the scammer just impersonated your profile, so it could be a good idea if you reach out to a mod who posted you and clear things up before it gets reported by the active members

Uh... Ight mate, i'll search for the discussion.
Thanks for giving me a heads up!

the group and discussion has been private since its private and membership invite only, try to add the mod who posted you and explain your side

Ay mate, i couldn't find the ORIGINAL profile you showed me in your screenshot, but i looked into yours, and i honestly find this a bit shady...First of all, i did a bit of digging, and there's reports of this "Augusta Butlin" in a real post about a possible scam (such as this: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/discussions/forum/1/3464976518704412866/ )Second of all, i looked into your profile, and it seems you're a level 0, without any games or items (your profile is completely public, you also created your account in march of this year)Even if you would have lost your items when you got hacked, you would still have SOME games, or at least the levels that they give you when you purchase em' (game collector badges)
TLDR: Are you bullshitting me?

If you have to ask, the answer is always yes.

As Teksura explains in the linked thread, its really concerning that people keep falling for this crap as nothing stated makes any sense. Valve is in control of its own platform. You don't have to prove your innocence when a random user claims his account got hacked and mentions an alleged group that does alleged things. :toiletroll:
It is a fairly classic scam, just block and report they guy. Half of the accounts that send theses scam messages were compromised at one time or the other.
Didn't read a single word. The answer is yes. No matter which person, on which platform ever contacts you.
It's a scam.

Report, block and move on.

And this, boys and girls, is the moment we block that user and move on.

Class dismissed!

Valve / Steam WILL NEVER contact you outside the Support Ticket system.

They will never use chat, discord, FB, or any other social media.
