Not a single third party site can be trusted no matter how many random nobody YouTubers tell you otherwise. Not a single site, nor Steam Group, can be trusted no matter how many people use it (or claim to use it) and tell you it is safe, or they never had a problem.
Never vote for someone's team.
Never try to get that $50 gift.
Never listen to anyone on Discord saying they accidently reported you ...
...or that they are an admin ... or that they want to be friends and/or trade.
Trust no one.

Secure your account, read the FAQ's.
btw, valve employees have a notice on their profiles stating the same stuff about scams/valve contact, as well as faqs outlining much of these old scams.
report any profiles involved on their respective platforms, then block them.
beyond that, learn from your mistakes, don't fall for silly phishing scams and also don't click misspelled/fishy links sent to you, no matter who it supposedly is, whether on your friend list or not.
hopefully you didn't also log into scam skin sites with your steam login/pass and 2fa....
report involved, block them and learn from the mistake?
How to report?
Meanwhile report EVERYONE involved and let Valve sort-em out. If they contacted you on a different platform then report them there too.
Take that as a learning experience. Pro tio: common sense is a superpower!
is there a link for the report?
I have reported the accounts involved
Steam doesn't even delete accounts that have been inactive for years.
Who told you this incorrect information about Valve deleting inactive accounts?
There are 21 year old accounts with zero games, zero activity that haven't been active in 21 years because Valve does not delete inactive accounts.
Steam support will only ever contact you via, guess what, the support messaging system. Anything else is plain ol' scam.
