Unable to upload screenshots using the custom screenshot and rename trick :/
Trying to upload my own pictures to steam so i can make a custom profile and im renaming the pictures to what the actual in-game pictures are called and it shows the pictures when i try to upload them but it just says "there was an error uploading 1 screenshots to the steam cloud" or something like that, then my steam crashes... pls help.

Just name them based on its modification date (written under file properties)
YYYYMMDDHHMMSS_1.jpg format.
i.e. May 2nd, 2017 @ 21:46:57 would be 20170502214657_1.jpg

Copy same screenshot under screenshots\thumbnails\

Copy another to desktop, add _vr to the end of its name and place it in the screenshots\ -folder. i.e. 20170502214657_1_vr.jpg

Restart Steam.

can you explain like im 5 pls i dont really understand where you see the modification date under file properties etc and where screenshots\thumbnails\ is and the rest of that honestly idk lol and im using 4 pictures

Let me guess. It's for a profile screenshot showcase.

Then they're probably offtopic and you shouldn't be posting them under game hubs anyway.
