Oops, sorry? C'mon.
What is up with the Update News saying "Oops, sorry" when displaying all of the available sales on the Steam Store? I mean, c'mon. Someone's gotta be hiding something from us, right?

Do you mean "specials" ?

https://steamhost.cn/search/?specials=1

If not, can you post a link to what part of the Store you are talking about ?

That pop-up box that occaionally appears when you (re)start Steam and shows all the games that are on sale or on free weekend?

Oh yea, that is probably just a glitch with the API for that game for some reason, whatever game would normally appear in that box. I saw that today also.

I personally would just give it some time. Little issues like that come up from time to time. It also can maybe have something to do with a game being removed from the Store but not that special notification.

Just possible examples, as I am not sure of course.

Every time that window pops up, over half the pages just say "Oops, Sorry"

Every single time.

---

I tried it just now, and 3 out of 5 pages just said "Oops, Sorry"

I remember at least one instances where ALL the pages just said "Oops, Sorry." That was really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ helpful, Steam.

My client just sent a restart due to update being released for Steam, so maybe that addresses this issue. I have not logged out and tested that yet, though.

Maybe its a game blocked in your area?
I dont think i have that ops sorry

I'm in the United States and I've gotten oops sorry every so often.

I suspect it's a server glitch on their end.

Too bad for them, I can't even refresh such an error page. Steam's browser sucks.

I've had the same issue. Also sometimes it's glitched so the product is off the top of the screen and only the click bar is visible.

S.x.

Very unlikely. It has been happening for about as long as I've been using Steam.

While my county's government is worse than the Nazis, the frequency with which it happens (More often than not) makes that unlikely.

How long is that, please ? All 6 years on this account ?

Today is the first time I have ever seen it, so I would suggest you consider something else is causing it on you end, as in possible problematic software maybe affecting Steam updates in a negative way.

Just as an example...

Across 6 houses, 4 computers, 2 operating systems (Windows and Mac), and 3 cities, one of which is separated from the other two by 3800km of desert.

Yeah. The problem is definitely on my end.

Well, it surely is not on my end here, or at least not for almost 9 years. Never seen this issue before at all. And for me, it was only one view of where a game would normally appear in that window.

I have the same problem as well. Is it a region issue? Like the sale is for certain regions but if its not in your region then it has the "Oops" message?
Quint the Alligator Snapper 24 MAR 2017 a las 5:17 p. m.
Just got one again today.
krayzkrok 24 MAR 2017 a las 9:14 p. m.
New record today: 7/8 "Oops, Sorry" messages on Steam News upon launching Steam. I'm thinking of just turning it off. Been doing this every day for about a month.
