Steam Using 1TB of Data (Network) monthly
Recently my ISP has limited me to 1TB a month, which isn't a big deal, I never exceed that, until recently steam is using over 1TB of data in itself for NO reason, I don't play steam games that often, and most of the time my steam app isn't even running on my PC.

This also means it is taking my bandwidth most likely so I am not even getting the speeds I am supposed to be getting, because steam is stealing it!!!

Steam support isn't responding to me, so I guess I have to resort to the community for help?
My ISP called and said they'll start charging me 200 dollars USD a month if I keep using the amount I am.

Thanks.

My best guess would be that Steam is attempting to download an update, the download fails or is corrupt, Steam tries to download it again, rinse/repeat. I can't see any reason why Steam would use that much data under normal circumstances.

For now, consider exiting Steam when you aren't gaming. Also, limit Steam's download speed when you aren't downloading, and set a schedule for updates to limit when it tries to download.
If you have wifi make sure it's secure. Any one can log into your wifi and use it and make it look like something else was using it to cover their tracks.

Note that screenshot has literally zero context. What tool are you using for that? Is that montnly or cumulative stats?

I figured it out, Garry's mod Workshop is trying to download an update all the time, when I pause the download my usage goes down to nearly nothing. SHEESH that was stressful, hopefully this fixes it.
