Steam API get current game played
Hello, is there any way to get data from the game that a user is playing? like the name, the id and other data?? thank you in advance

the output will include general profile info and also which game they play with name and the games appid and with that you can do other queries.

the link has the whole reference, should be enough material to play around with.

As this turned up on Google... I've been using GetPlayerSummaries for this, as mentioned above, but noticed today after coming back from the Christmas break that gameid is now missing from the returned data 🤔 Anyone else noticed this? I wonder what changed, maybe a privacy option?

Edit: Well, that was easy. I had been signed out of friends for absolutely no good reason. Had to click the friends list to even notice it, now it shows up just fine. Doh.
