You will get lag from this as you're diverting instantly what your PC is doing. It's unavoidable.
However, you can mitigate by lowering your graphics settings as a few seconds is a bit high. It should be about a second or less ideally. So you may have your settings too high.
What's your system specs and what framerate are you typically playing at?

I'd still lean towards what Kurumi rightly says above - you're either playing with settings too high, or you may have some other caching problem where you memory cache is too small. When you make a screenshot, youe instantly changing what the PC needs to do so there will be movement of data from RAM elsewhere, and that's where the problem occurs.
The other things to check are other pieces of software you may have running in the background. Try to close as much as possible when doing this.
Again, we need more info and I suggest you try what I've said above.
Be specific about which games you've actually had this happen in. And also: be specific about how OFTEN you take a screenshot, because I suspect that has a lot to do with it.

i once had 900 shots stored but not uploaded and it would freeze and stutter when taking new ones, doesnt happen once i deleted all the shots
