Your purchase has not been completed. Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company. - How do I fix this?
Full error message:
Your purchase has not been completed. Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company.

Note that in some cases, your credit card company may put a 'hold' on funds in your account, but you will not be charged. After correcting any errors in the information displayed below, please try your purchase again.

I was trying to buy Hydroneer. I have enough funds and I have succesfully used this card recently on other platforms.

How do I fix this error?

Call your credit card company, it was probably flagged as a potential fraud transaction by the automated system.

Ensure the billing address you input when checking out is what matches on your statements, or otherwise what your bank has on record as your Billing Address.

Declines are usually caused by either mis-matching Billing Address or fraud prevention when having enough funds. Else, contact your Bank.

I mean the error more or less says what to do

contact your credit card issuer. your credit card issuer declined the transaction. Ask them why

I dont see in that error where it says "post on the forums"

wow man, no ♥♥♥♥

That aint the issue Im afraid. I had this exact same error error message pop up in the past with 2 other cards and paypal (using those 2 other cards). So, this issue is on Steam.

Im pretty sure if it was my card\bank, then I would have gotten a notification from the bank (it has a pretty decent mobile app which details all transactions and stuff)

Why the hell does only Steam has issue tho?

Epic, Battle.net, Ubisoft and even that trashpile Origin has no such problems.

Hell, not even key resellers have this problem for me.

Not succeeding doesn't mean it's a Steam caused issue.
The error literally says "Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company", which means Steam can't complete the transaction. You already own 17 games, so what changed between then & now? If your billing address changed, you must use the accurate billing address tied to your card.

Else, again, call your credit card company.

Keep in mind if those keys are stolen, the Developer may have Steam revoke all stolen keys, which means you'll be out of a game entirely if the key is illegitimate.

Literally nothing changed. Whenever I had this problem in the past (several times), I just waited (days) and it eventually worked.

As for the keys, I only ever bought two. One was for Ubisoft, other for steam. That Ubisoft reseller was so trash, that I had to install Firefox to see my keys, as I could only purchase them in Google, but not see them. So not even this pile of garbage site had problems accepting money, unlike Steam, which does.

Why do you have a problem with calling your cc company? They use algorithms to detect possible fraud and they can get it wrong.
Same Problem and bank told me there is no problem and steam isnt flagged soooo?

Hmm, happened to me, trying to buy ultrakill and that happened. I managed to get 10 dollars on my account and can't put more on, it's quite strange why a company would shut down adding funds and stuff to a card that hasn't been used in 2 weeks. most likely late to the post, I'm just here looking for answers.

Maybe a person got a digit wrong and thus the transaction got declined because, shock, card info was wrong. The decline was not the users card but someone elses, partially, or didn't even exist.
First thing to do is to try the transaction AGAIN and double check the info is correct before submitting. If it was wrong the first time it should go through. If it was correct the first time it will just get declined again and then you call the card company
dude all my card Details was correct its not the first time i buy with it i buyed all expensions and seasons of destiny except last one that it start to tell me like this
I have this issue, I called the company and there was no issues. It still won't go through. I was trying to put money in my Steam Wallet.
