Connection problem in source games

Connection problem in source games

I've been suffering from common connection problems in source games, and source games only.
I can usually play for a couple of minutes, after which I and the other players "freeze" (can still look around and the sound isn't bugged) and a red connection warning pops up in the top right corner.

I then lose connection to the server and get booted back to the menu, where I get "Connection failed after X retries" if I try to rejoin (all while being able to join the other servers easily).

I tried verifying game files and changing ports. THIS ONLY HAPPENS IN SOURCE GAMES, I don't experience this in non source games.

The games affected by this are: TF2, No More Room in Hell, CSS, Jabroni Brawl Episode 3, CS:GO, GMod.

when that happens, can do other things on the internet?

Ask game devs support in each game forum.

Yes, it's only in source games

Reviving because it's still happening. With the added bonus of the recent steam server browser issue, I can't directly connect to servers that do not appear in the browser (yet do exist and are operational). No clue as to what to do.

this is happening to me in CS2 & GMOD, lmk if you find any fixes!
