Check your email if you have it linked to what third party site you used to purchase the key if its there,
maybe in that website you bought it from see if theres an option to grab/view the cd key where you said "manage cd keys"

Ubisoft games on Steam do not need a CD key.
Make sure you have a Ubisoft Connect account and have the newest Connect client installed.
In the Connect client settings you can link that account to a Steam account.
Do that and if you then try to start Far Cry 5 on Steam it will automatically register the game to your Ubisoft Connect account and just start the game, no CD key needed.

thanks but the account is linked and it says that there was a problem authenticating the ownership of the game please help

It doesnt automatically register the game for me

i did that but it asks for a cd key again and also when i try to update it says "finding patch" and updates to another version

Did you purchase the game on steam or a grey market site? Contact whoever sold you the game and ask them about the issue if it was a grey market site. If not, this issue is on Ubisoft's end. OP should most likely contact Ubisoft Support and ask for help. Also, what do you mean it is "UPDATING TO ANOTHER VERSION"? Like another countries version or what? That makes me think OP may of purchased this from a Grey market site.

Do you've Ubi client installed on your PC. Do you've ubi account and did you link it with your Steam?
If you do, start from reinstalling Ubi client.

I have the same problem, when I launch Far Cry 5, ubisoft asks me for an activation key. I can't find my activation key on steam tho??? its a little frustrating. I contacted Ubisoft to make a case, they haven't responded at all... really pissed off cause my friend gifted me the game

Well, Ubisoft is now asking me for my CD key saying my purchase is expired. . . So yes. I need the key.

There are no keys. UBISOFT stopped using them on Steam many years ago.
Steam version of UBISOFT games dont have keys, period.
Only UBISOFT CONNECT versions of their games have serial keys.

No, I would contact Steam Support regarding this and tell them exactly what you've said here. Clearly something has gone wrong with the licence where you bought the game, then had access to it and many other titles through the subscription service and then all the licences have become inaccessible including your purchase after the sub expired.
