Only when the answer is yes, can you use the keys to add them here.

You can use this link anywhere to register the Steam key once you are logged into Steam...

It will also send a confirmation email about adding the game to your account.

For all games that don't have Steam keys, you find out which service they are for like EA, Ubisoft or Rockstar and add the keys to those services like you did with Steam.

1) Log in to Green Man gaming.
2) Click on your profile name (top right).
3) Click on "My Profile".
4) Click on "Your Purchases".
5) Click on "Show Key" and copy it. (Rinse and repeat for other games).

On the Steam client:

1) Click on the "Add a Game" button (bottom left of the client).
2) Select "Activate a Product on Steam".
3) Paste the key you copied and click confirm. (Rinse and Repeat for other games).

I know this is old, but if I buy a key for an new Destiny 2 expansion pack (Edge of Fate) and I already have the game installed on STEAM can I just add the key and unlock the new DLC/expansion pack? Or do I have to reinstall the game (seems counterproductive).

The process isn't any different than if you buy it from Steam. Using a key doesn't matter, because regardless of how it happens, you get a license to the product on Steam by either purchasing it or adding a key. Once you have the license you can download the content. The origin of the license doesn't change the download/update process.

If you have questions about game specific issues, ask on the game's forum. But in my experience I've never had to reinstall the whole game when purchasing DLC. Although how much overhauling of game files is dependent on the DLC. So again, game specific questions are best for the game's own forum.
