I've looked into it extensively and see that many other people have had this same issue in the past. Creating desktop shortcuts for my library causes a crapton of them to show a small globe as the icon.

You would think verifying the integrity of the game's files would work but it hasn't. You would think uninstalling and reinstalling would work too but it hasn't either. I've tried both.

I've never seen this problem before. Has anyone found a fix for this?

EDIT: I meant to add that the shortcuts work perfectly fine, I just hate this stupid globe lol.

EDIT 6/1/24: I think I found a fix that has worked. Listed below:

• Go to your appdata folder (search for it in the search feature on the taskbar, or type Run, or go from your user folder, however you usually do it)
  
• You have to navigate to your "Local" folder. In some cases it might start you in Roaming but go back one folder and enter Local.
  
• Scroll all the way down and find "IconCache.db" and delete it.
  
• Right click on the taskbar or hit Ctrl+Alt+Del to open Task Manager, and if you're on Windows 11 like I am, go to Details and search for "explorer.exe", click it and then at the top right, click "restart task".
  
• Now check and see if your icons are fixed.

This seems to have worked for me so far, my only concern is I'm thinking I'll have to repeat this occasionally lol. Nevertheless, it worked for now, that's what matters.
