What's going on is you're using /going through Steam to access outside areas like YouTube.You must know how slow Steam is downloading anything substantial such as game files.As you've found out(as most of us have)it's even slower using it to browse.If say on YouTube there's a certain vid you like,it's much faster to take note of it,exit out of Steam(and your game of course) and go directly to YouTube with your own search engine.I've noticed sometimes its faster than other times,which is probably due to the amount of traffic using it.It's a pain I know,but if it's bothering you that much that's all I can suggest.
