Hi,

On Epic my dowload speed can reach 110MB/s in no time but on steam it stagnate arround 2-3MB/s only (same case for Battle net or Riot games, only around 2MB/s)

Any clues why ? I have been searching the internet for so long

UPDATE
After some testing, I tryed to start a download on Steam, Battle net and Epic

And when I did Steam + Battle net, the 2 download speed was affected (going from 2 to 1.7 or 0.5)
But when I did Steam (or Battle net) + Epîc, None of the download speeds were affected

This leads me to belive that Steam and Battle net are using the same slow bandwidth while Epic is using a fast bandwidth

Mind you, my pc have no Wifi card and is only connected via a single Ethernet cable

I downloaded "NetLimiter", and simply but running the program, the steam download went from 2MB/s to 101MB/s

I am gonna try to restart my PC and check another download

Sounds like the issue was incidental, rather than a chronic problem.
You thought by watching one download, steam would always download slower, but now notice you were wrong.

NetLimiter is an analyze tool, so it doesn't increase your speed. It just shows what is going on. It makes no sense that running the tool alone increases your DL speed.

I assume 110 isn't your max speed, so there is still an issue present. There are settings within windows that you have that slow down the download progress.
Seemingly it affects Steam slightly more, likely because it downloads over an encrypted line; as in, the files need to be decrypted by the client.

i do not think steam and epic can be compare in this case...

Personally I don't have an issue with Steam download speeds, it quite happily maxes out my bandwidth if I let it (I usually set a lower limit so it doesn't interfere with other devices using the connection).

I did used to find it slow when new releases came out, presumably because the servers were overwhelmed, Haven't seen that in a long time.

I also used to find it slow for certain games when they were patching, but that was when I used a HDD as my primary gaming drive. Having switched to SSD I don't see that issue anymore.

After the restar, it went back to 2MB/s, tryed many things (like restarting with netlimiter etc) but still stayed at 2MB/s. Dunno what happened

You have a new PC, I am guessing?
By new I mean modern, with AI features.

The fact is that, some hardware, software, etc first needs to go through periods of slowness before they become fast (due to learning and optimizing)
Nobody asked for the AI features and the gain is only very small, but still... companies.

Your internet speed is influenced by a number of things.
And the download is initiated by Steam Client Service, which runs as a background service, which means-- it runs on Low Priority basically. Any use task will have more priority. Anything windows does will also have more priority.

It also comes with other consequences: namely power saving, it running as a low power task.

The combination of this makes it slower by default, but there are also blockades that make this worse, such as File Indexing, Harddrive Encryption (bitlocker), Green Power CPU modes (eco cores), etc.

Finally one final limiting factor is that the download is seen as a media stream, so the MediaThrottlingIndex works on it; which means it needs to be disabled to achieve max download speed.

-- anyway at the very least examine your Power Management plans and power saving settings.
Consider changing DNS to cloudflare
Consider disabling bitlocker
Consider disabling sysmain
Consider disabling file indexing
Consider disabling "The computer is allows to turn off this device to save power"
things like that.

Are you downloading to the same drive? Have you tried stuff like disabling your AV? (I use Avast because of my work and when I have it enabled both downloads and write/read procedures are considerably slower)
