Steam and ubisoft client and game back ups
I have a game on ubisoft account that is available here and was wondering if it is already installed and playable from the ubisoft client if i buy it here will it need to re-install or just find it and no download necessary?

Also can you back up a game that is a non-steam game that you added?

I do not know if ubisoft allows game back ups like steam. which is why i want it here to back it up as i have limited internet connectivity and downloading takes me months.

Well different platforms may do different things with game files, so maybe.

Steam backups are for games owned on Steam, not just any program on a PC.

However there's nothing all that magical about copying game files into another folder and/or putting it in a zip file. An automated process is convenient, not necessary to back up data.

Thanks i will attempt this for now.

Do you know if i buy it here on steam if i will have to reinstall since ubisoft makes all steam games that are ubisoft install through their launcher anyway?
