sense you are in DL only issue make sure steam.exe and game own .exe name is not blocked in Anti virus app.

Even old game can have Folder access issue, but that require you get past DL and installment first, i mention this because old games have Administrators rights they require such in the past. and we are not evej talking about game actual work yet.

Try get other steam user with win10+ or not to confirm game still work in games own forum, watchout for hardware diffrence they can matter sometimes.

We have seen DL from github or fixes with dx9 or try window mode as a fix.

we mean other players like me that som,etimes play older games for games not made to win10 even.

I'm having the same problem on almost every game. If it isn't a shader pre-caching update steam is incapable of downloading it right now for some reason.

On Linux, pop-os. Reinstalling steam did nothing.

Oh, this is my problem - Win 7. :( It's too late to buy Win10 and my computer is too weak for Win11.
