Changing steam installation drive for games... how?
Hi. I only got a 1TB SSD and a 2GB HDD atm, cuz I built up a complete new PC. I ordered a M.2 with 2TB and wanna use this for games only. How can I change the drive inside steam (just asking, but I am sure I get this done ^^) ... and do I have to uninstall all games and reinstall them on the new drive? Or does steam offers a "clone drive" option for this? ATM die 1TB SSD is sharing the space with all the apps and windows. So everytime I wanna play something else, I am forced to uninstall others. That sucks.
Any advice?

Do it the easy way and move your whole Steam installation. Really the least hassle you can have. I did something similar myself after buying a games-only SSD.
Create a folder on the M.2 drive. Example GamesSteam.

Next ensure the Steam Client is open:

Menu > Steam > Settings > Storage then click on the drive dropdown at the top and add the new M.2 drive. Note you can set this as the default drive.

Next switch to your old drive from the drive dropdown and tick all the games you want to move to the M.2 drive then click on the move button located at the bottom.

Sounds kinda legit... once I get Windows to show my new drive in Explorer, I will try that. Thank you. :steamhappy:
