Hi everyone,
About 6 months ago, my Steam account was hacked by someone (most likely from Afghanistan, based on activity). The hacker changed the email, phone number, and other account settings. During that time, a BattleEye ban was issued on my account in DayZ.

I recovered my account through Steam Support and now I’m waiting for a response from BattleEye Support. I explained the situation to them, but so far there’s been no reply.

Has anyone had a similar situation? Is there any chance of getting unbanned? (I know what is on the support page - my responsibility...)
If not, would creating a new Steam account allow me to play DayZ again, or will the ban carry over?

It’s your own responsibility to ensure that no one else has access to your cd-key or account. We cannot lift your ban if you were banned as a result of cd-key/account theft.
