Cannot upload images to group chats.

[ERROR] 15 Jul @ 3:00am

Whenever I try to upload something to a group chat, it gives me this error:

Uploading (file name):
Failed to start upload: A server error occurred
Retry Close

Clicking retry does nothing. This happens in my group chat and talking to friends. Any way to fix this? I'm mostly talking about images from my files.

I have it as well sometimes. It seems to go away on its own but it is a pretty annoying problem to have.

Today I was dealing with errors just going to my library/profile etc.

Steam definitely has an "Errors" problem or server issues. And no, don't want to hear anything about "Maintenance" since it isn't Tuesday.

Did you manage to upload that image? did you take an hour or so break before trying again? Steam be buggy as fuggy

No, unfortunately. It's been happening for a few days now.

Sorry to hear that :( I don't know what other advice I could give you since I don't deal with group chats.

Can you upload the image as Artwork? if so, do that and just post it in the group chat. Try everything you can.

Yeah, I've been doing the following:
-Upload as unlisted.
-Copy image URL.
-Post to GC.
-Delete artwork off profile.

Finding a way to just upload from files would save a lot of hassle though.

Make a suggestion in the "Suggestions / Ideas" discussions.

I know a lot of people will probably put the suggestion down and mention it being bad or so in some way. So, that would be up to you if you want to deal with those peeps.

You can also avoid uploading images to the group chat to avoid the hassle. Options, you have some.

It's a group for artists... so I can't really not...
But yeah, I don't want to deal with those peeps.
