Was this for work/creativity? Or did get this solely for gaming? If got it just for gaming, then you could've gotten something WAY better that give ~450% more performance for maybe same price got it. Imagine a bicycle vs sports car in a race that how big of a performance gap we're talking.

If got this recently from the store, and still within refund policy, my suggestion refund it, and get a GOOD laptop.

If you bought this 2nd hand from eBay, or something well not much can do about it.





Now this what to do, make sure your Windows is FULLY updated, once that done, make sure open up AMD control panel have the latest version, if not do update. If don't got it, here site. Use auto detect take the thinking out for you.

Now make sure verify game files on Steam, and make sure always click yes for games when launching for 1st time after downloading them to install drivers needed for them to running them.

it says my steam client is up to date, not sure how to copy the second, it's on a white window with tons of info on my laptop on there. the games i'm trying to play is marvel rivals and gotham knights.

i got this laptop a few years ago, less than 5 years i believe and it's basically just an upgrade from a chromebook because i rlly use my laptop for basic bs like watching youtube, twitch, surfing the internet and real normie stuff. i bought it from bestbuy completely new. the amd thing you linked said i didn't have what it needed? i think i may have gotten the specs wrong on my laptop cause i took the info from the website of this laptop but it might be a newer build, as i said i'm bad with computers, im sorry about that.

If this is correct you do not have AMD you're using intel that why AMD won't install.

No idea how much spend for this, hope got it really cheap.

Lenovo site took down product page so can't see specs, but found review on it that detail somethings about it.

Now if got it near price what in that review for MSRP then you could've got a good high end laptop just like the example I made bicycle vs sports car race for less.

BTW there couple models using 82QG so there one with i5, and another with i7, ranging from $800 ~ $1400 MSRP again if spent anywhere near these prices you got rip off if did it solely for gaming.

Apex not opening with Direct 12 like its not even in my option anymore

having close to the same problems. start the game battleye pops up an the game tries to start but i get a notice saying :directx12 not supported. checked all drives with amd a microsoft an everything is up to date on the latest versions. ark asended is the only game that i've have this problem with.

For you, make sure your windows 10 fully updated, shouldn't be on any old builds should be on 22H2, next you need the LATEST driver for your AMD GPU.

The only issue I can see it not working is if game using DX12_2 / DX12 Ultimate which be your problem.

In search bar on your windows tab type "dxdiag" without quotes, now new window appears, click on all Display tab if it just 1 that fine, in the display tab, you're looking for to the right box area "Drivers" From there you see down the list "Features Level" You see 12_2 12_1 12_0 11_1 and so on, if you don't see DX12_2 there at all that meant you don't support the game that using DX12_2 / Ultimate.

thanks for the help. i followed a lot of links for dx12 drivers an found the right one for amd rx580 driver down load. AMD Software Adrenalin Edition. seems to be working fine now . It's got to have plp to help us on these problems . I kept getting on the wrong link. lol now i just need to go thu an delete all this other useless stuff . thanks again for the fast reply

No worries glad your issue got resolved. Yeah sometimes search engines doesn't always help, and some people just lead others in loop with links that doesn't answer questions, or solving the issue may see on reddit, or etc...
