I have the game on EGS. I get Steam Input support by adding the EG launcher as a non-Steam game, use Steam to start EG launcher, then start GTAV from EG.
The menu options in the EG build are different:
Graphics -> Screen Type = Fullscreen / Windowed / Windowed Borderless
Are the other Screen Type options a FiveM/mod thing or are they part of the vanilla Steam build?
Have you tested Joystick Mouse+windowed behaviour in another game?
Got my hopes up there lol I just tried launching FiveM via Steam as a non-steam game, but using the controller config and unfortunately I had the same results.
In the Steam version of GTAV (and maybe all GTAV ??) the Window Borderless and the Fullscreen (Exclusive) only show up when you select their counterparts:
Like if you're in Fullscreen, then the next time you go in you'll see Fullscreen (Exclusive) - and in Windowed you'll then see Windowed Borderless the next time you go into the menu.
I have not tested it out in any other game. GTAV on FiveM is pretty much all I play - BUT - you're right, that is the next logical step so I'll have to try something out.
It's frustrating because the "Joystick Mouse" works perfectly when I'm any of the GTAV menus (pause or radial) - and it works fine in the character select screen.
It only goes bonkers when I'm trying to control in-game stuff (looking around basically).
