Empire total war not loading games

Help please everyone. Game loads up without issue but since an update yesterday my current game wont load. it just closes the game every time. Any ideas how to fix?

Verify the game files and see if that solves the issue.

Right Click game > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of games files

Thanks but that didn't work sadly. The load bar still gets about 1 5th of the way and closes the game down and goes back to windows

It seems to be the save rather then the game

Maybe old save files no longer work after an update.

Try asking for help in the discussion hub of the game you're talking about.
