Having trouble with refunding in-game currency.
Hello! You can skip the first paragraph because it’s almost irrelevant to the issue at hand but adds a bit of context to the situation if anyone is interested in that.

Yesterday I had decided to add $10 worth of funds to my steam wallet in order to purchase some Lattice on Marvel Rivals. I was interesting in buying the Luxury Battle Pass (worth 990 Lattice—about ~$1 per 100 Lattice by the way) but could end up buying 900 Lattice with the $10 (because of taxes) in my steam wallet. I then attempted to add $5 worth of funds to my steam wallet so that I could get that last 90 Lattice needed for the Battle Pass, but for some reason an error occurred where steam wouldn’t allow me to add the $5 funds to my steam wallet. I originally used Paypal to add the initial $10 funds to my steam wallet but after numerous tries of attempting to add more funds I switched over to card which also didn’t work. I tried exiting out of the game and restarting as well but to no avail. With the Luxury Battle Pass only having 5 hours left to purchase I felt sort of defeated and decided I probably wasn’t going to find a solution in time and wanted to request a refund.
**TLDR: Basically steam wasn’t letting me add more funds to my steam wallet which meant I couldn’t buy this leaving-soon item in a game so I was like darn let me go ahead and refund this in game currency I’ve purchased if I can’t even use it to buy what I want.**

Sorry for all the previous yap but this is where the real issue starts: steam was having trouble trying to offer me a refund because, “ We are having a temporary problem communicating with the game's item server. Unfortunately, this prevents us from being able to continue with your refund request. Please try again later.”
I’m assuming since I haven’t done anything with the in-game currency (Marvel Rivals Lattice) that means I haven’t yet consumed or modified it which, again, means I haven’t stepped out of Steams refund policy for in game purchases? I only have 48 hours after purchase to issue a refund so I’m hoping this’ll turn into a wait-out-the-errors situation or something like that.
