Steam Install Folder / Cache drive change?
I know a version of this has been discussed.. but my reason for wanting to put the Steam software on a drive other than C: , is because I only have about 25GB of space on it these days.... And when I install a game using steam onto a secondary drive etc.. , my C: drive will temporarily drop from 25GB free..to say 8GB free.. and everything goes REEEEAAAALLLL SLOOOOWWW during install... it of course go back to 25GB after it finishes...but cant I somehow tell Steam to at least use a different drive for temporary cache bs like this?

Note that steam already takes into account whether the drive will get very low and will instead cache the downloads on a different drive if needed

If things are slow because o fthe patching process, that's generally an issue with your anti-virus having a seizure. Uninstall anything other than Windows Defender
