Nope, No VPN, No weird DNS, nothing, My IP is from my ISP and all other games work fine such as World of Warcraft and Battlefield.
Only DayZ.

Check other OS settings and location, according to steam users profile you are in Banghazi, Libya, we are only steam user here,

and we have seen ISP sell a IP scope range before to other region before so even that is a your ISP problem,
they do have sold alot of ip-adr scope to Asia , most populated region in the world, just because i mention this dont mean your ISP did not do it right, but also make sense if they think you are in ASIA.with IP adr that somehow now is leased to that region, ask own ISP if this is the case.

And make sense why you see Asia only if im right in this. we best guess here, only your ISP will know better.


Also why Ettanin point out look like you come out in other gateway like a VPN.

Thats is why i and other point at wrong zone or gateway, because we think app ID your zone to be that or nearest, im not aware whst nearest steam DL zone id for you as Libya, also odd then game pick Asia server as you best zone, ask othrer Libya steam people if this is right or not.

Example some games has a region cog wheel ( option like US,EU or Asia, this dont look like that here.

My direct connection to DayZ servers is failing inside the Nitrado network. When I use a VPN, it reroutes my traffic and works perfectly. Here is a traceroute comparison showing both the failed path and the successful VPN path.

If you talk with network engine they can tell you any kind of VPN that proof it work just put a nail in there coffie in why normal traffic do not work.

Also why you can find many post fromme and other IT ppl laugh at them, you need a network to work so VPN traffic go past a area.

This is why we are many here at steam forum debat or argue over connection, and even steam do not like VPN they can also see they good side of it then ISP claim something and vpn work to get out of the trouble zone.

Make sure you test with other pc or friend laptop to double check own ISP has the bug, and its not own pc with a network issue most here atm cant ID.

im sure even you can see logic with work with VPN and not normal traffic that just proof a region issue and something is not right.

see even Ettanin tell it you get past a area and then it work, he just explan it with a diffrent, ways
route to something has change with VPN and also can be seen as proof ISP in your region route you to something fare away.

what if you change steam DL zone to west africa or other zone near you, do that effect get out of Asia nearest game server for that game.

imo should not change games nearest server you can play on, if game devs have multi server only you know your game better then we.
