Chat Messages are gone after 12 hours?
I know I've looked back in my messages from a week prior, and I read that steam keeps chat messages for 14 days. I was looking for a link in chat from just yesterday and there is NOTHING past 12 hours. WTF? I know Steam is for gaming only, but it can't even be used for that if deletes messages so inconsistently or so soon.
Or are they accessible some other way? I've searched and I can not find a reason messages are gone just have a day later, especially when they are supposed to be kept for 14 days

Are they gone from the steam chat app too? I had same problem but messages showed up in the app.

So, Steam has been a bit wonky lately. It crashed and when I started Steam again, the messages were back. Idk what was going on. I've had a lot of issues with Steam lately
